Articles of Interest – Be Inspired

At Crux Landscape, we love design. It’s a great big world out there, filled with remarkable people doing remarkable things which inspire or push the boundaries. While we are Landscape Architects first and foremost, that doesn’t make us blind to other fields of design, in fact it’s quite the opposite as Landscape Architecture is one of those professions that keeps a foot in many different fields.

Creative responses to tricky design solutions is the endgame for us but we also understand that the ‘Genius Designer’ doesn’t really exist. Being good at something takes work so critical analysis of both our own work and other designers helps us to identify successes and failures.

An understanding of style is also hugely important. While every designer should aspire to create timeless design, trends exist, come and go and its crucial to know what’s in, what’s out and why.

As a result, for many years, we have been scouring the internet for the best examples of innovative Landscape Architecture, Garden Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Art and just about anything else that tickles us.

But why keep our discoveries to ourselves? We are not the only people passionate about things that make the world brighter and Landscape Architecture exists to help people (amongst many other things!). So we started distilling our findings down to a bite sized, weekly email for an elite group of similarly interested people; the Articles of Interest.

Sometimes the articles can be beautiful, sometimes profound, usually inspirational, often slightly weird but they are always interesting. That’s the brief.
